Raspberry Leaf
(Rubus Idaeus))
Raspberry leaf is a true ‘mother plant’, which grows in a way that it has a central ‘mother’ plant which shields and protects its ‘babies’ as they grow up. In the last trimester of pregnancy Raspberry leaf strengthens and relaxes the uterus before giving birth.
During pregnancy, this plant is a fabulous tonic which may be able to prevent miscarriage and reduce morning sickness.
Raspberry leaves contain B group vitamins and vitamins C and E, as well as the minerals calcium, magnesium and zinc.
The leaves are also a source of protective plant compounds such as bioflavonoids and tannins. They are a source of carotenoids and polyphenols, including ellagic acid and salicylic acid.
